Beat the Heat (Minden Press-Herald)

The Richland Bank thermometer topped out at 109 degrees Tuesday, and temperatures are not going down — at least not for right now. Residents wondered when the heat would finally arrive after a cooler, wet July. It didn’t let anyone down as temperatures have soared to more than 100 degrees this week.
